Bishop sounds off on Palin's remarks
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - This was McCain's night, but Wednesday night his running mate introduced herself to the country. And Sarah Palin took a lot of jabs at Barack Obama.
Obama said Thursday he wasn't surprised and said the speech was delivered on behalf of John McCain.
Congressman Sanford Bishop is the co-chairman of Obama's Georgia campaign. He told us Palin's speech didn't address the issues important to most Americans."I think that people are most concerned about specifics on how we're going to deal with the economy, how we're going to deal with gas prices, how we're going to deal with healthcare, how we're going to deal with economic development, how we're going to deal with national security and how we're going to get out troops home," said Rep. Sanford Bishop D-Georgia.
Bishop says he believes the Obama/Biden ticket is going strong now just eight weeks from election day.
