Sanford Bishop Travels Southwest Georgia
August 18, 2008 - 6:30pm
District two Congressman Sanford Bishop made several stops in Decatur and Grady County on Tuesday, meeting with everyone from high school students to health care representatives.
Bishop made a stop at Grady General Hospital in Cairo to discuss his recent vote to prevent doctors who treat Medicare patients from seeing a severe pay cut.
That was good news for people here at this hospital and for hospitals all across rural Georgia and of course for many medical providers who were also faced with those cuts," said U.S. Representative Sanford Bishop.
Bishop will spend the month of August traveling Georgia. He says he plans to take what constituents say back with him to Washington.
