Congressman Sanford Bishop Jr. and his wife, the Honorable Vivian Bishop, greatly honored the soldiers from the state of Georgia by their visit on Thanksgiving Day.
It was very nice to have them there when they could be with their family back home," said First Lt. Charlie Remaley, 12300 Transportation Company, Joint Logistical Task Force 1144th, Georgia National Guard.
We were all impressed with their genuine concern for our welfare and appreciate their sacrificial act of kindness on this very special family day," said Lt Col. Darryl Cummings, Chief, Logistics Plans, 1st Sustainment Command (Theater).
Most importantly, their visit encouraged our spirits and gave us an opportunity to share wonderful memories of our families and friends back home," Cummings added.
The representatives and their spouses will also visit service members deployed throughout the Third Army/US Army Central in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
