Welcome to the Bishop for Congress website. When I ran for Congress, I promised the voters that I would be like a former governor from Albany -- "A work horse ... not a show horse." I have kept my promise. You have empowered me to accomplish great things for all constituents of Southwest and Middle Georgia.

I've worked to secure more than $11 billion in federal funding for improvements to public infrastructure, agricultural research, education and economic development programs for our district and together, we will continue to strengthen our district! I support legislation to improve our quality of life through jobs and a strong economy; better education; safe communities free from crime and terrorism; a clean environment; affordable and accessible health care; better transportation; a strong national defense; all in the context of a balanced budget. I support legislation that protects the values of our area -- God, country, work, and family. I support prayer in schools, gun rights, the ban on same sex marriage, and staunchly oppose the desecration of the American flag.
